Blood Sugar’s Impact on Your Weight and Well-being
If you’ve ever wondered if unexplained weight gain or extra weight that won’t budge is a symptom of a hormone imbalance… you’re certainly not alone.
Getting to the Root Cause of Weight Gain with Blood Sugar Balance
Of the 100,000+ women who’ve taken my online hormone assessment, nearly 20% have reported that body composition is their biggest health struggle.
And it’s true.
Symptoms such as “easily or quickly gaining weight despite minimal or no changes” can be a clue your body’s current hormone status requires attention.
(And I’m a big believer in listening to our body’s signs and symptoms – the clues that show us when it’s time to redirect our path.)
I’m writing about this today because I know that many women in my community struggle to figure this one out – to get back control.
Wondering what could have changed? Is it emotional? Stress related? Genetics?
Perhaps it’s exercising more? Or a new diet plan?
My colleague recently had success with fasting… Or how about my friend who had success with low carb… That should work for me, right?
And some of those things work. Sometimes until they don’t.
Or until some women get over this (restrictive) new way of living and are back to the drawing board, searching for the next right solution for them.
Maybe even signing up for that promising $97 30-day plan they saw on Instagram…
It’s Not All About Willpower
The thing is, what works for Sara, Maria, or Tamara may not work for Carla, or for you.
It’s not about dedication, willpower, or self-control…
But because several factors influence our health.
Yes, sometimes our emotions or stress have something to do with it.
BUT if our blood sugar balance is wonky it’s going to ADD to our stressors – making those 4 o’clock carb cravings much much harder to conquer.
It’s also going to affect our mind and mood.
That emotional roller coaster kind of day you may have experienced…
It often has a blood sugar roller coaster at the root.
And blood sugar roller coasters funk with our hormones. Big time.
Is blood sugar instability at the root of your hormone woes?
Find out if blood sugar imbalance could be at the root of your fatigue, brain fog, cravings, moodiness, increasing stress, hair loss, period or skin problems, expanding waistline — & more!
Stop the Blood Sugar Roller Coaster to Balance Hormones
Hormone balance does not exist without balanced blood sugar levels.
So when a client reports feeling less energetic, more anxious and stressed, less resilient, and having extra weight that won’t budge or seems to come on out of nowhere…
There’s likely wonky blood sugar at the root of it.
(Blood sugar health is also not just for diabetics. Everyday women can have disrupted blood sugar too – especially active and driven ones.)
Now, one can completely quit sugar, go ultra low carb, or only eat raw plant food all day and that might help solve it… for now…
But is it sustainable? Often not.
Will it lead to lasting results? Or will it support long-term health? Not when we’re lacking the nutrients we need.
And is managing sugars or carbs all that’s required to balance blood sugar? Often not.
How about you? Have you ever explored blood sugar balancing for better health? Would love to hear what worked for you.
